Abstract

El sistema de pensiones chileno, basado en la capitalización individual, otorga a sus afiliados amplias y variadas opciones a la hora de tomar decisiones respecto a factores que impactan directamente los resultados previsionales. Una decisión particularmente importante para el resultado que se obtiene a partir del sistema, tanto durante la vida activa como al momento del retiro, es la elección de la AFP. Las comisiones que éstas cobran determinan el salario líquido que recibirá el afiliado; la rentabilidad que entregan define la acumulación final de recursos y por tanto el monto de pensión a obtener; y otros elementos como la calidad de servicio que ofrecen, impactan la calidad de la experiencia del individuo con su administradora.
