Abstract

На этой неделе России снова погрозили пальцем с Капитолийского холма. Представитель президента США на торговых переговорах Сюзан Шваб заявила, что конгресс не готов отменить поправку Джексона-Вэника. На сей раз из-за "медленного продвижения" российской стороны к вступлению в ВТО. Напомним, поправка в 1974 году установила дискриминационные условия в торговле с СССР, дабы советская власть не чинила евреям препятствий с эмиграцией. Советского Союза давно нет, все желающие из страны давно выехали, а пресловутая поправка стала средством давления. Вот теперь ее используют, чтобы заставить Россию вступить в ВТО на невыгодных для нас условиях. Спрашивается, а зачем нам это надо? Ответ корреспондент "Труда" искал с директором Института народохозяйственного прогнозирования РАН, академиком Виктором ИВАНТЕРОМ.
