Abstract

The author analyzes the publications under the category of “Social Liberalism” and presents the vision of the summary of four years of discussions, organized by “Social Sciences and Modernity” and neo-classical principles of rational behavior and of methodological individualism of the sponsored goods theory. He also studies political science aspects of regulatory interests of society formation, and other aspects of the consociational political and economic decisions taking institutions. The analysis revealed that the evolution of paternalism is moving towards its institutional liberalization. The author presents the hypothesis which explains the reason why modern Russian economic policy still looks like something between archaic and merit paternalism.
