Abstract

The paper examines the possibilities of accelerated socio-economic development of Russia on the basis of the preferential development of industries with the multiplicative effect of economic growth locomotives. These industries include: the automotive industry, housing, mass construction of highways and high-speed railways, as well as the branches of the knowledge economy: research and development, education, information and communication technologies, health care and related biotechnology. The paper discusses the possibilities of enhancing economic growth in the country due to the accelerated development of these industries, with particular importance given to their ability to cause a multiplicative effect, significantly increasing their real contribution to the economy compared to the cost of their development.
