Economic safety as important component of strategy of social and economic development of the region

Abstract

Economic safety of the region is a component of economic safety of the state and its national security. The national security includes a set of components which are closely interconnected among themselves. However all security system is based on an economic component as production and reproduction of material benefits, the satisfaction of material needs of subjects of any public formation is a basis and a necessary condition of their existence and activity. The considerable share of import food in structure of consumption of the region testifies to increase of threat of food security. In article economic and social aspects of ensuring food security of the region are considered. At the heart of economic safety of the region, its independence - effective development of agro-industrial complex. Proceeding from interests of ensuring food security of the region, it is necessary to reduce dependence of agriculture on import of material resources. One of the most important conditions of food independence is a timely updating of fixed assets of agriculture.
