Abstract

The Psychology of Human Resources lately represents an area of great interest, which means continuous improvement of the activity of all employees in all fields in order to realize the objectives of organizations. The subject approached in this study was chosen in the field of education, being a social act by which the individual discovers his/her own personality, by which he manifests his/her aspirations and social ideals. The work of teachers is held in front of mental individualities in training. In this study were approached the following theoretical aspects: the particularities of special education, the educational act, personality traits, and the personality of teacher. The primary objective of the study was the assessment of special education teachers. Also, the following assumptions were made: the efficiency of a special education teacher depends on his/her knowledgements, skills acquired, motivation, so also on some personality traits; the special education teacher most appropiate to accomplish a task in the special education act is the one whose personalities traits responds best to the established exigencies. The study was completed on a sample of 18 subjects, all special education teachers. As research methods were used: the observation method, the Eysenck test and the Woodworth-Mathews personality questionnaire. All the results were graphically represented using charts. Some of resulted characteristics of the special education teachers are: professional competence, intelligence, love of profession and neighbors, sociability, empathy, tolerance, goodness, respect, dignity and others…
