Abstract

This article brings forth the analytical relationship and its therapeutically outcome through the here-and-now transference interpretation, focusing on the analysts contribution as a person actively involved in the relationship . Also reveals the signification of time related to the therapeutically process , the importance of interpretation as a as a meeting point for past and present at a common dimension of understanding. The transformation generated by such an intervention constitutes a starting point for Strachey, who employs the idea of “mutative interpretation” for the first time, referring to that interpretation from analysis which modifies the patients behavior and feeling reorganizing his psychic continuums through an exchange process with the analyst. Subsequently, this contribution was augmented with aspects of the kleinian relation of object, regarding the projective and introiective identification and translating the problematic from the level of superego to the level of self. According to this and conceptually developping this direction, supporters of the psychology of self assign the mutative power of the interpretative act to the pacient projective function of self-objects onto the analyst . As new perspectives were added to the act of interpretation, the focus shifted towards the analytical relationship so that in the intersubjective current, the analyst and the relationship as a support of psychic continuums exchange, became determinant for the curative outcome of the therapy. As an integrant part of this conceptual evolution , the here-and-now transference interpretation replaces Freud’s genetically reconstructive interpretation focusing more on the exchange inside the relationship. However, from a technical point of view, the interpretation becomes an efficient therapeutically instrument only to the extent that it is used, like the surgical scalpel in the sterile space of the operating room which is the analytical framework.
