”Originality” Dimension In Therapeutic Techniques’ Evolution. Animal Assisted Therapy

This essay presents new perspectives and approach of the therapeutic interventions. Animal assisted therapy developed an original dimension of the techniques used in other types of therapy. The animal therapist involved facilitates the relationship that evolves between the client and the therapist. Based on instincts and smooth communication the relationship is formed in a natural way, in a very short period of time. The human therapist has an improved image which helps the therapy to evolve. This totally new relationship is providing the resources necessary for the therapeutically change to occur. Elements of originality apply in every aspect of the therapy forming the bond between animal – client – therapist. It’s up to the therapist and animal to ensure new and original interventions to resolve the client’s problem. I hope by presenting this intervention to apply to the creative minds of the therapists in developing original approaches in solving client’s difficulties.
