Abstract

Performanța economică, în condițiile dezvoltării durabile, nu poate fi atinsă fără o evidențiere clară a costurilor care țin direct de acele activități care aduc atingere mediului înconjurător. În acest sens, elementele metodologice de estimare a costurilor de protecție a mediului au fost incluse în sistemul conturilor naționale, pentru evidențierea factorilor de mediu, pentru ajustarea operațiilor, fluxurilor și stocurilor luate în calcul. Sistemul de contabilitate integrată economie-mediu (SEEA – System of Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting), dezvoltat de Biroul de Statistică al O.N.U., este cel mai semnificativ demers de includere în fenomenul de dezvoltare economică a cunoașterii mediului ambiant.
