Abstract

The paper focuses on investing Awqaf properties through establishment of Awqaf Development Bank. The paper provides the reasons for establishment of such a bank with its objectives and detailed organizational structure. The paper discusses the relationship between the awqaf assets and the development, the role of waqaf in job creation and the reduction of poverty. It also highlights how to preserve the waqaf property and to operationalize as per Shari’ah rules.
