Abstract

Il microcredito è una delle forme della finanza etica. Per finanza etica intendiamo un uso delle risorse finanziarie che non considera solo le dimensioni standard dell’investimento finanziario (rischio e rendimento), ma anche le dimensioni sociali e morali dell’impiego, ovvero delle attività economiche finanziate. Tra gli elementi che hanno favorito la diffusione delle iniziative di microcredito in tutto il mondo, vi sono sicuramente anche i dati confortanti sulle minime sofferenze e gli alti tassi di rimborso dei prestiti. Dare credito ai più poveri, permettere di avviare una attività economica anche a coloro che non hanno nulla per garantire un prestito, è da molti considerato pertanto sia un buon modo sia un modo buono di impiegare il denaro.
