Pääoman lähtö: Suomalaisten yritysten kansainvälistyminen ja tulopolitiikka

Abstract

Viimeisten kymmenen vuoden aikana suomalaisten yritysten liiketoiminta on laajentunut ulkomaille erittäin nopeasti. Aiempaa selvästi suuremmista rahoitusresursseista huolimatta suomalaiset yritykset ovat investoineet varsin vähän Suomeen ja sen sijaan siirtäneet rahoitusresurssejaan merkittävästi Suomen rajojen ulkopuolelle. Ritva Pitkäsen ja Pekka Sauramon tutkimuksessa “Pääoman lähtö: Suomalaisten yritysten kansainvälistyminen ja tulopolitiikka” on laskettu, että teollisuudessa yritysten käytettävissä olevista varoista noin 40 prosenttia eli noin 40 mrd. euroa käytettiin ajanjaksolla 1995–2003 sijoituksiin ulkomailla. Tuotantokapasiteettia kasvattaviin kiinteisiin (brutto)investointeihin Suomessa käytettiin suunnilleen saman verran. Palvelualoilla ulkomaille siirretty osuus oli alhaisempi mutta myös huomionarvoisen suuri.
