Koulutuksesta työelämään: Nuorten työllistymiseen vaikuttavat tekijät

Abstract

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan nuorten asemaa työmarkkinoilla työllisyyden näkökulmasta. Tutkimuksessa kuvaillaan ensin Työssäkäyntitilaston pohjalle luodun Vaikuttavuusaineiston valossa nuorten suhteellista asemaa ja sen muutoksia 1990-luvulla työmarkkinoilla. Nuorten työllistymiseen ja työllisenä pysymiseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä tarkastellaan sekä yritysten että yksilön näkökulmasta.Yritysten ominaisuuksista tarkastellaan mm. toimialan, yrityskoon, teknologia intensiteetin, työnantajasektorin (julkinen vs. yksityinen) merkitystä nuorten työllisyydelle. Yksilötekijöistä tarkastellaan koulutuksen ja aikaisemman työhistorian vaikutuksia yksilön työllisyyteen. Vaikuttavuusaineiston antamia tuloksia nuorten asemasta verrataan aikaisempien sekä empiiristen että teoreettisten tutkimusten tuottamiin tuloksiin.
