Yksityisten palveluiden toimintaedellytykset ja työllisyys

Abstract

Palkansaajien tutkimuslaitos on julkaissut tutkija, VTT Seija Ilmakunnaksen tutkimuksen ”Yksityisten palveluiden toimintaedellytykset ja työllisyys”. Tutkimus on toteutettu työministeriön ja Euroopan sosiaalirahaston tukemana työelämän muutosten ennakointihankkeena.Tutkimuksessa on selvitetty yksityisen palvelusektorin kokoa ja rakennetta Suomessa, viime vuosikymmenten kehitystä sekä yksityisten ja julkisten palveluiden välistä vuorovaikutusta. Tutkimus sisältää myös kansainvälisen vertailun teollisuusmaiden välisistä eroista palvelusektorin työllisyyydessä.Yksityisten palveluiden osuus työllisyydestä oli 36,3 prosenttia ja arvonlisäyksestä 33,5 prosenttia Suomessa vuonna 1996. Julkisten palveluiden osuus työllisyydestä oli 28,5 prosenttia ja arvonlisäyksestä 21,3. Vuosina 1975–1996 koko palvelusektorin työllisyysosuus on Suomessa kohonnut noin 50 prosentista 65 prosenttiin.
