Pienet, avoimet EU-maat globalisaation haasteiden edessä: säästämisen ja investointien tarkastelua

Abstract

Raportissa tarkastellaan säästämisen ja investointien kehitystä eräissä pienissä, avoimissa EU-maissa. Tarkastelumaina ovat Ruotsi, Tanska, Hollanti ja Belgia. Tarkoituksena on selvittää, miten nämä maat ovat sopeutuneet muuttuvaan taloudelliseen ympäristöön (globalisaatio) ja miten paljon kehityksessä on yhteneviä piirteitä Suomen kanssa. Erityisen kiinnostuksen kohteena ovat vaihtotase, yritysten investoinnit, funktionaalinen tulonjako ja suorat sijoitukset. Tarkastelu on luonteeltaan kuvailevaa ja se tehdään maa kerrallaan. Lopuksi kootaan yhteen maista tehtyjä havaintoja ja verrataan niitä Suomen kehitykseen.
