Suomen julkinen sektori kansainvälisessä vertailussa

Abstract

Raportissa vertaillaan julkisen laajuutta, verotusta sekä julkisia menoja Suomen ja eri maiden välillä. Vertailun 20 maata on jaettu kolmeen maaryhmään: Suomen lähialueiden maat, suuret teollisuusmaat sekä pienet EU-maat. Raportin ensimmäisessä osassa tarkastellaan julkisen sektorin ja hyvinvointivaltion laajuutta sekä julkisen talouden tasapainoa ja julkista velkaantumista. Tämän jälkeen vertaillaan verotuksen ankaruutta kokonaisuudessaansekä erikseen työn verotuksen, pääoma- ja yritystuloverotuksen sekä kuluverotuksen osalta. Viimeisessä osiossa keskitytään julkisen sektorin menorakenteen tarkasteluun sekä vertaillaan merkittävimpiä julkisen sektorin menoeriä eri maissa.
