Sukupuolten välinen palkkauksellinen tasa-arvo yksityisillä palvelualoilla

Abstract

Yksityisillä palvelualoilla naiset ovat yliedustettuina matalapalkkaisissa osa-aikaisissa ja määräaikaisissatehtävissä. Sukupuolten välinen keskimääräinen palkkaero kaventuisi, jos naisten yliedustus näissä tehtävissä vähenisi tai jos näissä tehtävissä maksettaisiin yhtä suurta keskimääräistä palkkaa kuin kokoaikaisissa ja vakinaisissa tehtävissä. Palvelualoilla sukupuolten välisiä palkkaeroja selittää pitkälti naisten ja miesten erilainen sijoittuminen eri tehtäviin. Säännöllisen työajan kiinteän palkan päälle maksettavat erilaiset palkanlisät kasvattavat pääsääntöisesti sukupuolten välisiä palkkaeroja.
