Työstä eläkkeelle – tulokehitys ja korvaussuhteet

Abstract

Tutkimuksessa arvioitiin, mitä muutoksia henkilön tuloissa ja tulorakenteessa tapahtui työstä eläkkeelle siirtymisen yhteydessä. Erityistä huomiota kiinnitettiin eläkkeen korvaussuhteeseen eli siihen, kuinka suuren osan eläkettä edeltävästä vakiintuneesta tulosta eläke korvasi henkilön siirtyessä työstä eläkkeelle. Korvaus-suhteen rinnalla tarkastelimme, kuinka paljon ihmisten bruttotulot muuttuivat eläkkeelle siirtymisen yhteydessä. Tulosten mukaan 2000-luvun työstä eläkkeelle siirtyneiden korvaussuhteen mediaani oli noin 60 prosenttia. Melko harvoin korvaussuhde oli alle 50 pro-senttia. Eläkkeelle siirtymisen bruttotulosuhteet olivat näitä tasoja korkeammat. Kun eläkettä edeltävä tulotaso otettiin huomioon, korvaussuhteet olivat melko samantasoiset eläkelain, eläkelajin, iän, sukupuolen ja perhe-aseman mukaan. Poikkeuksena olivat pienituloisimmat työssä olleet, joilla korvaussuhteet olivat keskimääräistä korkeammat. Tutkimusaineistona oli ainutlaatuinen Tilastokeskuksen väestöaineistosta poimittu noin 500 000 henkilön paneeliaineisto vuosilta 1995–2004. Varsinaisen analyysin kohteena olivat vuosina 1999–2003 työstä eläkkeelle siirtyneet henkilöt.
