Abstract

“On suuri erehdys yhdistää valtio ja sosialismi toisiinsa. Sosialismi on oman aikamme keskeisin vapausaate. Mikään ei estä, etteikö se voisi olla sellainen myös ensi vuosisadalla. Vapaus on perimmäisiä tavoitteita kun taas valtio on vain aikaan ja paikkaan sidottu välikappale päämäärän saavuttamisessa. 1900-luvulla vapauden kasvu liittyi ennen muuta tasa-arvon edistymiseen, jossa valtion rooli oli keskeinen. 2000-luvulla alkaa vapautuminen valtiosta.” Työväen Taloudellisen Tutkimuslaitoksen esimies Pekka Korpinen on pamfletissaan sitä mieltä, että vasemmiston on korkea aika uusiutua aatteellisesti. Ja myös osoittaa miten – Ranskan suuren vallankumouksen 200-vuotisjuhlien kunniaksi.
