Abstract

Vuosien 1974–75 kriisiä on alettu yhä yleisemmin pitää historiallisena käännekohtana, josta alkoi uusi hitaan taloudellisen kasvun aikakausi. Etsittäessä selitystä tälle ilmiölle on kiinnostus suuntautunut enenevässä määrin kauan unohduksissa olleeseen pitkien syklien tutkimukseen. Tässä kirjassa Työväen taloudellisen tutkimuslaitoksen esimies Pekka Korpinen esittelee kriisejä ja pitkiä syklejä käsittelevän aikaisemman tutkimuksen ja kehittelee tältä pohjalta omaa pitkien syklien teoriaansa. Suppeahkoa matemaattista jaksoa lukuunottamatta kirjan sisältö on yleistajuista luettavaa.
