Innovointi nuorissa ja vanhemmissa yrityksissä

Abstract

Analyysin mukaan pienten nuorten yritysten merkitys Suomen yrityssektorin innovaatiotoiminnan uudistajana on selvästi vahvistunut 2010-luvun alun jälkeen. Ne panostavat suhteellisesti eniten tutkimus- ja kehitystoimintaan sekä tuovat markkinoille merkittävästi uusia tuotteita ja prosesseja. Suuret yritykset ovat myös aktiivisia, mutta niiden panostukset ovat viime vuosina vähentyneet. Keskisuurten ja vanhojen pienten yritysten innovatiivisuus on keskimäärin heikompaa. Julkisella TKI-rahoituksella on suuri merkitys pienille nuorille yrityksille. Tulokset korostavat tarvetta pitää huolta erityisesti nuorten yritysten syntymistä, innovointia ja kasvua edistävästä toimintaympäristöstä. Siihen kuuluvat vahva korkeakoulusektori ja toimivat rahoitusmarkkinat.
