Abstract

The disclosure of the Input-Output Matrix by official governmental institutions in Brazil occurs relatively late, so that to use more current data requires the researcher or interested to make estimates if they wish to make use of it. National literature on the subject provides methodologies that attempt to teach how to make it. But following them strictly does not yield a convenient result due to the handling of the data. This paper proposes a more practical and intuitive approach for estimating an Input-Output Matrix based on the current National Account System with 128 products and 68 sectors. It thus fills a number of specific and missing gaps in a practical way that would prevent reliable results. The inferences provided results very close to the official matrices and most used in the academic environment, which allows to use them to produce the most varied indices.
