Abstract

Prof. Luigi Campiglio (Università Cattolica - Milano) has endorsed a test, entitled Prima le donne e i bambini (First the women and children), which reflects the importance of women and children for the entire society. Meeting this test requires that under-age children be able to exercise political weight, which can only be accomplished by allowing them to vote. They should be able to do so by giving their mothers the power to vote on their behalves, through exercise of a power of attorney. Campiglio L.(2005), Prima le donne e i bambini. Chi rappresenta i minorenni? Il Mulino, Bologna 2005.
