Abstract

Quantitative analysis of public policies is essential for their design and implementation. One of the most widely used tools for this type of work has historically been the input-output matrices (IO). However, in Argentina this task has been difficult in recent years due to the lack of an updated matrix that reflects the current features of the domestic economic structure. In this regard, it is necessary to clarify that the last officially published IO matrix dates back to 1997. Therefore, the main objective of this document is to present in detail the work carried out for the construction of an updated IO matrix through a reordering of the Supply and Use Tables, based on the year 2019.
