A Practical Guide for Evaluations

Abstract

Periodic evaluations of programs are central to helping managers and policymakers make evidence-based policy decisions. This is true irrespective of the sector that these managers might be operating within. Development programs are specifically designed to achieve any set number of public policy outcomes i.e. increasing incomes, increasing health wellbeing, increasing women�s participation in the workforce, etc.[2] It is of critical importance to evaluate these development programs particularly since they are mostly funded through public money.
