Abstract

Setting up a factory in Bangladesh is a lengthy and time-consuming process. It requires a long list of licenses, certificates, and other documents. Also, it is difficult for entrepreneurs and investors to access required information and support under one roof. Private investment has been targeted to be made by a number of established and emerging manufacturing industries in several prominent sectors. These sectors are: readymade garments (RMG), food processing, pharmaceuticals, and leather and footwear.
