Abstract

Milenial” adalah makhluk yang seksi. Kenapa begitu? Tengok saja 7 orang milenial yang baru-baru ini dinobatkan sebagai Staf Khusus Presiden Jokowi. Ketujuhnya adalah milenial yang seksi dari sisi KOMPETENSI. Mereka adalah lulusan universitas terbaik dalam dan luar negeri. Ketujuh staf khusus ini bekerja untuk Indonesia. Tentu saja mereka harus loyal; tidak hanya mempertimbangkan salary dan kompensasi, tapi juga setia mengemban tugas negara. Nyatanya, tidak semua milenial bekerja untuk Indonesia secara langsung. Banyak yang bekerja di perusahaan dalam negeri (PMDN), perusahaan modal asing (PMA), juga perusahaan pelat merah (BUMN). Apakah mereka tetap loyal kepada perusahaan seperti setianya Prajurit TNI kepada bangsa ini? The Secret to Millennial Engagement mencoba membedah sedikit karakteristik milenial agar perusahaan dapat “mengikat” mereka untuk tetap loyal. Buku ini ditulis oleh para praktisi dan akademisi SDM, di antaranya Direktur SDM BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Direktur SDM PT Pusri, Direktur SDM PT Kimia Farma, dan CEO PT Indonesia Ferry Properti. Mereka mencoba membumikan bahasa akademis, yang teoretis dan praksis-pragmatis, menjadi bahasa yang mudah dipahami oleh generasi milenial, praktisi, juga akademisi yang mencoba melihat wajah “seksi” milenial ini secara lebih “transparan”.
