Abstract

Kajian dalam buku ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengusaha Industri kreatif juga dituntut untuk selalu berinovasi dalam proses penciptaan produk sehingga memiliki keunikan yang membedakan produk yang dihasilkan dengan pesaingnya. Di Kota Medan, pengusaha industri kreatif memgalami kesulitan dalam usahanya akibat pandemi virus korona, dimana kebijakan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) membuat akses pelaku industri ke pasar berkurang dan terbatas. Hal ini memaksa pengusaha untuk terus berinovasi guna mempertahankan usahanya. Salah satu inovasi yang dilakukan oleh pengusaha industri kreatif di Kota Medan adalah beralihnya industri fashion dari produk konvensional seperti pakaian ke produksi masker dan alat pelindung diri (APD). Inovasi lainnya adalah proses pengiklanan dan penjualan produk dan jasa dilakukan secara daring (online) melalui platform sosial media dan e-commerce.
