Abstract

Doctoral thesis defended at Université Paris-Saclay on 7 November 2023. Title: Management of digital transformations in law firms: a process marked by ambidexterity? This thesis examines the managerial and organizational specificities of law firms during digital transformation processes, as well as the factors contributing to successful change management in this context. It addresses two research questions: how law firms manage the challenges, responsibilities and expectations associated with digital transformations, and to what extent digital transformation management aligns with the ambidextrous capabilities of law firms. The study also includes a quantitative investigation based on the distribution of 35,000 questionnaires, with 326 responses received. The results indicate that no significant relationship was established between the management of digital transformations and ambidexterity, while significant relationships were identified between digital transformation management and measurement, and between ambidexterity and measurement.
