Abstract

This article outlines the distinctive features and identifies the key challenges facing the transport network of the Moscow Urban Agglomeration. The underlying causes of transport-related problems are determined based on a comprehensive approach to the development of transport infrastructure across Moscow and the Moscow Region. Priority directions for the development of the Moscow agglomeration’s transport network are highlighted, and a system of indicators is presented to facilitate the evaluation of various network development scenarios from the perspectives of both social and commercial efficiency.
