Abstract

La obesidad es un problema de alto impacto que influye de manera significativa en la salud de las personas y en el sistema que las rodea y que responde a una etiología multidimensional fundamentada en los determinantes sociales de la salud. Por ello es fundamental su estudio, y su caracterización a través de encuestas de situación nutricional. Adicionalmente, se recomendarán estrategias de políticas públicas en Colombia encaminadas hacia el mejoramiento de la salud de las comunidades a través del fomento de la alimentación balanceada y actividad física en la población universitaria teniendo en cuenta perspectivas de México y Perú.
