Abstract

Sweden actively promotes gender equality and this is reflected in its relatively high score for the GCPI. However, its reliance on collective bargaining agreements mediated by trade unions leaves non-unionized workers without as many labor protections. The growing migrant domestic worker population in Sweden is particularly vulnerable.
