Abstract

Andre Gunder Frank, Yeniden Doğu: Asya Çağında Küresel Ekonomi adlı eserinde, iktisat tarihi yazımında onlarca yıldır hâkim olan "Avrupa-merkezci" paradigmaya karşı, “küresel tarih” perspektifi içerisinden bir eleştiri geliştirir. Frank, Batılı beşeri ve sosyal bilimler geleneği karşısında, dünyanın tüm bölgelerine, eş zamanlı bakan, yatay olarak bütünleştirilmiş, bir tarih anlayışı geliştirmeyi önerir. Bu inceleme yazısında, Frank'in Yeniden Doğu kitabını, Saidyen ve postkolonyal düşüncenin iktisat tarihindeki bir yansıması olarak değerlendireceğiz.
