Abstract
This text is based on the hypothesis that a political demonstration does not merely move through the city—it rewrites it. Drawing from a semiological reading inspired by Barthes, the city is understood as a language, and walking as its most basic form of enunciation. From this perspective, a critical genealogy of walking is reconstructed—from the Situationist dérive to the modern flâneur, from the aesthetic stroll to the political march—culminating in the protest as a practice of urban writing. Its routes, rhythms, and tactics are analyzed as a living grammar capable of interrupting, reinscribing, and disputing the meaning of space. The analysis not only frames walking as a projective operation, but also defines the demonstration as an act of enunciation that temporarily reconfigures the city and reveals the structural tensions of its urban order.
