Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi program kewirausahaan market day sebagai sarana menanamkan karakter di SD N Gayam 5 Sukoharjo. Pendidikan karakter yang harus diajarkan di sekolah dan pendidikan kewirausahaan yang juga penting untuk bekal siswa merupakan gabungan kegiatan yang dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter kepada siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah setiap tahap kegiatan mengajarkan pendidikan karakter untuk siswa. Karakter yang dibangun adalah karakter disiplin, kerja sama, tanggung jawab, mandiri, jujur, kreatif, dan percaya diri. Dalam penanaman karakter ini peran guru sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengarahkan dan membimbing siswa. Dalam penerapannya penanaman karakter dengan kegiatan market day masih terdapat kendala yang menjadi tantangan untuk siswa dan menjadi evaluasi untuk kegiatan market day selanjutnya
