Abstract

Abstrak: Bekerja untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup dan dalam rangka memperoleh penghasilan untuk menjaga eksistensi kehidupan merupakan kewajiban dan tanggung jawab setiap orang. Dalam Islam, bekerja dan menjadi pegawai dalam suatu bidang profesi tertentu bahkan dikategorikan sebagai kewajiban agama yang bernilai ibadah. Di samping itu, Islam pun memberikan tuntunan agar pekerjaan dilaksanakan sesuai dengan kompetensi atau profesionalitas, spesifiknya berdasarkan kekuatan dan keamanahan seperti yang sangat jelas diungkapkan Allah SWT dalam Q.S. Al-Qashash Ayat 26. Karena itu, memahami kriteria kekuatan (quwwah) dan keamanahan (amanah) pegawai plus kejujurannya (shidq) serta substansi dari karakter kepegawaian tersebut merupakan hal yang sangat urgen untuk dilakukan, antara lain melalui pemikiran-pemikiran Mufassir dalam menafsirkan ayat, dan kajian lain yang terkait. Dalam penelitian penulis akan menggunakan metode tematik (maudhu'i) untuk menjelaskan kriteria kekuatan (quwwah) dankeamanahan (amanah) yang ada pada ayat di atas. Hasil penelitian untuk membentuk pegawai supaya mempunyai sifat quwwah dan amanah.
