Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara berkembang yang sangat kaya akan sumber daya alam dan sumber daya manusia. Keanekaragaman masyarakat Indonesia dapat dilihat dari adanya berbagai suku, ras, budaya, adat istiadat dan berbagai agama yang dianut. Untuk itulah Indonesia patut menyadari perlunya hidup dalam kemajemukan yang harusnya mampu membangun bangsa ini agar semakin satu dalam pengamalan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Namun, pada realitanya, kebanyakan orang memandang multikulturalisme sebagai sesuatu hal yang harus disamakan. Artinya, masih ada beberapa kelompok tertentu mengharapkan keadaan yang homogen sesuai dengan keinginan kelompoknya. Hal ini bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila dan banyak orang lupa bahwa sejak awal masyarakat Indonesia telah menjiwai semangat gotong royong.
