Abstract

Secara konsep, ekonomi kerakyatan dikembangkan melalui Proklamasi Kemerdekaan 17 Agustus 1945 yang bertujuan untuk melepaskan rakyat dari belenggu kapitalisme dunia pada masa itu. Perhatian terhadap sistem ekonomi kerakyatan dicurahkan oleh Bung Hatta yang mengatakan bahwa pembangunan ekonomi Indonesia pada hakekatnya adalah pembangunan ekonomi kerakyatan. Maka yang perlu dilakukan adalah mengubah struktur ekonomi umumnya dari ekonomi kolonial atau semacamnya ke ekonomi nasional yang berkerakyatan. Dan secara formal yuridis dan politis ekonomi kerakyatan pun diakomodir dalam GBHN tahun 1993 sebagai hasil rumusan Sidang Umum MPR RI tahun 1992.
