Abstract

Apa yang ada dihadapan pembaca sekalian adalah kumpulan arsip dokumentasi yang terdiri dari tiga dokumen, yakni: 1) Sejarah ringkas tentang Syekh Abbas Abdullah, yang dibuat sesaat setelah beliau meninggal (1957), 2) Salinan Akta Wakaf Darulfunun (1950), dan 3) Hasil rapat Badan Wakaf Darulfunun untuk membentuk organisasi (1957). Arsip ini adalah sumber internal yang memberikan penjelasan mengenai perkembangan Darulfunun. Sebagai catatan arsip sejarah ringkas tentang Syekh Abbas Abdullah ini bukan ditulis oleh Syekh Abbas Abdullah sendiri, tetapi oleh salah seorang muridnya. Sehingga untuk catatan para akademisi bisa menguatkan dengan referensi lainnya.
