Abstract

ekonomi kerakyatan tidak bisa hanya sekedar prinsip maupun teori-teori yang tidak diterapkan di masyarakat. Perlu adanya pemberian perhatian utama kepada rakyat kecil lewat program-program operasional yang nyata dan mampu merangsang kegiatan ekonomi produktif di tingkat rakyat sekaligus memupuk jiwa kewirausahaan. Tidak dapat disangkal bahwa membangun ekonomi kerakyatan membutuhkan adanya komitmen politik (political will), tetapi menyamakan ekonomi kerakyatan dengan praktek membagi-bagi uang kepada rakyat kecil adalah sesuatu kekeliruan besar dalam perspektif ekonomi kerakyatan yang benar. Tetapi yang seharusnya dilakukan pemerintah adalah memberi pelatihan keterampilan dan modal agar masyarakat dapat membuka lapangan pekerjaannya sendiri.
