Peran Pertunjukan Manca’ Kanrejawa Pada Prosesi Malamkorontigi Di Desa Taeng Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan memperoleh data dan informasi tentang: (1) Apa Fungsi Pertunjukan Manca’ Kanrejawa pada Upacara Adat Korontigi di Desa Taeng Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa. (2) Bagaimana bentuk penyajian Pertunjukan Manca’ Kanrejawa pada Upacara Adat Korontigi di Desa Taeng Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi, wawancara, observasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa: (1) Pertunjukan Manca’ Kanrejawa berfungsi sebagai wujud penghayatan /presentasi estetis, sebagai sarana hiburan, Sebagai Pendukung Upacara dan sebagai Kelangsungan dan Stabilitas kebudayaan. (2) Bentuk penyajian Pertunjukan Manca’ Kanrejawa Desa Taeng Kecamatan Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa, Pertunjukan Manca’ Kanrejawa berbeda dengan Manca’ yang ada di daerah lain. Manca’ Kanrejawa lebih menonjolkan keindahan gerak tanpa mengurangi etika di depan tamu kehormatan dengan mengangkat kaki atau menendang dan sambil berguling. Manca’ Kanrejawa hanya menunjukan teknik dasar serang dan tangkis. Manca’ Kanrejawa di daerah Taeng disebut juga “Manca’ Pangngadakkang” yang berarti Manca’ yang mengandung nilai Adab di dalamnya.
