Abstract

This research is motivated by cases that occurred in modern times which did not exist at the time of the Prophet SAW, namely regarding the law of the cigarette business and anything related to the law of smoking. This research uses the maudhu'i method and takes from the Al-Qur'an and the hadith as well as the opinions of the scholars. The results of the study show that the legal business of cigarettes is haram because smoking has many harmful effects.
