Abstract

Untuk dapat melayani anggotanya dengan efektif dan memperkuat gerakan koperasi, koperasi harus bekerja bersama anggotanya, baik di tingkat lokal, nasional, regional, dan Internasional. Kolaborasi tersebut dapat mencakup pendidikan dan upaya pemasaran, pinjaman dan Investasi untuk pengembangan koperasi, perencanaan bersama dalam dan antar sektor, serta pembelian barang dan jasa dari koperasi lain (CCMA, 2009) Selain bekerja sama dengan anggotanya untuk menciptakan keunggulan komparatif koperasi juga dapat menjalin kerja sama dengan usaha yang bukan dimiliki oleh anggota koperasi untuk menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif Kedua bentuk kerja sama in dapat berjalan beriringan asalkan koperasi tidak mengabaikan kriteria dan prinsipnya Jika kerja sama dalam kapitalisme dibangun berdasarkan metafora Invisible hand, yartu suatu bentuk kerja sama berdasarkan konsekuensi-konsekuensi ekonomi dari tindakan-tindakan manusia untuk mencapai kepentingan diri sendiri, kerja sama dalam koperasi merupakan bentuk tindakan-tindakan individu yang dikoordinasikan untuk mencapai tujuan-tujuan tertentu berdasarkan kepentingan-kepentingan bersama.
