Abstract

Kebijakan moneter adalah tindakan yang dilakukan oleh otoritas moneter (biasanya bank sentral) untuk mempengaruhi jumlah uang beredar dan kredit yang pada gilirannya akan mempengaruhi kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat. Bank sentral adalah lembaga yang berwenang melakukan kebijakan moneter untuk mempengaruhi jumlah uang beredar dalam rangka mencapai tujuan kebijakan moneter. Dalam konteks Indonesia, kebijakan moneter ini dilakukan oleh Bank Sentral (Bank Indonesia/BI), yang tujuannya adalah untuk mencapai stabilitas rupiah yang tercermin dari indikator inflasi dan nilai tukar rupiah.
