Abstract

This preprint presents a systematic review investigating interventions to reduce machine-related accidents on farms and the behavioral components included in these interventions. The study utilized a comprehensive search strategy, followed by a narrative synthesis of included studies. The results identified key intervention strategies, behaviour change techniques present in these strategies as well as gaps in the existing literature, and emphasized the importance of targeting specific safety behaviors and involving stakeholders in intervention design. This preprint contributes to the literature on behavior change interventions in farm machine safety and provides recommendations for future interventions. The findings have implications for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers interested in occupational health and safety in farm machine safety.
