Pengaruh Pemberian Reward Dan Punishment Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Dengan Motivasi Sebagai Variabel Intervening

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Reward dan Punishment terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan motivasi sebagai variabel intervening. Sehingga variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 (dua) variabel independen yaitu Reward (X1) dan Punishment (X2), 1 (satu) variabel dependen yaitu kinerja karyawan (Y) dan 1 (satu) variabel intervening yaitu motivasi (Z). Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Astra Honda Motor cabang Praya yang berjumlah 60 orang karyawan. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling dengan jenis Probability Sampling. Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan apabila memiliki populasi yang tidak homogen dan berstrata namun kurang proporsional. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 52 orang karyawan atau responden. Data diperoleh dengan menyebarkan 52 kuesioner pada responden (karyawan) yang ada di PT. Astra Honda Motor cabang Praya. Hasil pengisian kuesioner dianalisis atau di uji menggunakan program SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel Reward (X1) dan Punishment (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi (Z). Kemudian motivasi (Z) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y). Reward (X1) dan Punishment (X2) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y), serta Reward (X1) dan Punishment (X2) tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) melalui motivasi (Z).
