Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Ibnu Husain di Sidotopo.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan informan penelitan, yaitu wakil kepala sekolah sebagai informan kunci, dan guru serta pegawai sebagai informan pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa (1) gaya kepemimpinan yang digunakan oleh kepala sekolah di Madrasah Ibnu Husain di Sidotopo cenderung menggunakan selling dan participating. (2) pelaksanaan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah meliputi proses perencanaan, cenderung menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan yang selling dan participating. Proses pengorganisasian, cenderung dilakukan dengan gaya kepemimpinan participating. Proses penggerakan cenderung dilakukan dengan gaya kepemimpinan participating yang mengutamakan hubungan kerja sama dan adanya pengarahan dan pembinaan secara umum maupun secara personal. Prosespengkoordinasian cenderung dilakukan dengan gaya kepemimpinan participating yang mengutamakan hubungan kerja sama baik dalam kegiatan formal maupun non formal. Proses pengawasan cenderung dilakukan dengan gaya kepemimpinan delegating yang memberikan kepercayaan kepada bawahan sehingga tidak secara terus menerus melakukan pengawasan dengan berkeliling kelas, mengawasi kinerja guru dan karyawan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung ditempat kerja. (3) Pengambilan keputusan dilakukan kepala sekolah cenderung dengan gaya kepemimpinan selling, yaitu musyawarah untuk mufakat serta melibatkan guru, karyawan, dan semua pejabat yang ada hubungannya dengan Madrasah Ibnu Husain di Sidotopo Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan, Gaya kepemimpinan, Kepala Sekolah
