Abstract

Koperasi merupakan usaha bersama dari sekolompok orang yang mempunyai kepentingan yang sama dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggotanya. Koperasi merupakan gerakan ekonomi rakyat yang berdasarkan atas asas kekeluargaan. Koperasi di Indonesia saat ini telah berkembang dengan pesat karena para anggota-anggotanya yang terdiri dari masyarakat umum telah mengetahui manfaat dari pendirian koperasi tersebut, yang dapat membantu perekonomian dan mengembangkan kreatifitas masing-masing anggota. Upaya dari pendirian koperasi ini sangat menguntungkan bagi masyarakat untuk lebih memahami koperasi. Ciri utama dari koperasi yang membedakannya dengan badan usaha lainnya (non koperasi) adalah posisi anggota. Dalam UU No. 25 tahun 1992 tentang perkoperasian disebutkan bahwa, anggota koperasi adalah pemilik dan sekaligus pengguna jasa koperasi.
