Abstract

In this study, researchers tried to find answers to the phenomenon that has occurred for approximately twenty-one years since Tanimbar Islands Regency legalized as a district. The purpose of this study was to find out the existence of economic approaches (micro and macro) in the price of goods in Saumlaki; second, was to find out the existence of ethnological (social and cultural) approaches in the activity of goods’ price in Saumlaki; third was to know the relationship between economics approach and ethnological approach; fourth was to obtain information about the influence of ethnoeconomics in the process of neutralizing the price of goods in Saumlaki. The research method used was descriptive, using an ethnological approach that is merged into ethnoeconomics. The results showed that ethnoeconomics significantly affect price, so this can be used by policymakers so that the price of goods in Saumlaki can be neutralized.
