Abstract

Waralaba merupakan bentuk kerjasama bisnis antara pemilik (franchisor) merek, produk, dan sistem operasional dengan pihak kedua (franchise) untuk pemakaian merek. Atau sebuah kontrak usaha bisnis untuk mempergunakan merek dengan perjanjian yang sudah disepakati, namun dalam berbisnis waralaba ada juga kelemahan atau kekurangannya seperti bahan baku mengandalkan pemilik, sistemnya bagi untung, inovasi terbatas, dan reputasi bisnis juga berpengaruh. Keuntungan bisnis waralaba adalah tidak terlalu membutuhkan pengalaman dalam berbisnis yang memadai untuk menjalankan usaha bisnis, penjual waralaba akan memberikan pelatihan atau training yang dibutuhkan dalam menjalankan usaha bisnis tersebut. Hal-hal yang sebaiknya dihindari atau mencegah kegagalan ketika berbisnis waralaba, kegagalan bisnis waralaba dapat disebabkan kurangnya komunikasi, franchisee tidak memiliki keunggulan kompetitif, franchisor tidak memberikan dukungan, dan operasional pedom an tidak lengkap
